ONCE UPON A TIME… WHAT IF?

Following up on the broad success of JAMES in 2024, JBA will soon present ONCE UPON A TIME… WHAT IF?, a brand new creation by Mauro de Candia.

This time around, the Italian choreographer draws inspiration from the imaginative universe of the Brothers Grimm, transforming their timeless stories into an intense yet contemporary choreographic experience. 

Through the use of shadows, symbols and narrative suggestion, the characters and atmosphere belonging to our collective childhoods are brought to life by dance, revealing the most mysterious and profound aspects at the depth of these familiar tales.

But what if these stories and characters actually start intertwining?

With this ambitious new production JBA continues its artistic exploration, fusing both traditional and contemporary choreographic language during a fascinating journey through myth, fantasy and movement.
