ALBA HELLIN

Blonde-haired with big brown eyes, Alba was born and grew up in Madrid, Spain and started dancing at the very young age of 3! Turning 12 she was ready to enter the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Fortea (Madrid), where she studied until 2024.

In her final year, via the Erasmus student exchange program, Alba had the chance to study at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. During this time she was offered the chance to take some classes with Junior Ballet Antwerp and was immediately hooked!

Alba: “The teachers were really good, I loved the classes and I just wanted more! I was really thrilled to be accepted for the 24/25 program. I want to learn everything that I can from all these amazing people and I want to improve in every way: my classical technique, my knowledge of the contemporary repertoire and my artistry.”

Alba’s dream is to dance with Dutch National Ballet, Bayerische Staatsballett or Semperoper Ballet which are the companies at the top of her list.

She also loves Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, counting Jean-Christophe Maillot amongst her favourite choreographers, together with William Forsythe, Goyo Montero and Sir Kenneth MacMillan and hopes to someday dance the role of Juliet in his version of Romeo & Juliet.

Next to the intense life as a dancer, this young Spaniard is studying physics online at UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia) and coming down to earth, she likes to bake and to cook and when at home, to play board games with her family around.
