AMBER DU BOIS
Amber is one of our recent Belgian recruits and the youngest of the group. Born in Ukkel, near Brussels, she began her dance training (pre-ballet) at the very young age of three. Before joining the European School of Ballet in Amsterdam in 2021, Amber trained at the Ballerino Dansstudio in Lembeek for 10 years.
It wasn’t only classical ballet which interested her; she thoroughly enjoyed contemporary dance as well while dancing/training both at Ballerino and ESB. In the latter, during an intensive workshop conducted by Macarena González on the choreographic language of Goyo Montero, her love for modern dance was truly enhanced. One of her favourite neo-classical choreographers is JBA Artistic Patron, David Dawson.
Amber: “I look greatly forward to learn many new styles from different choreographers and I hope to develop further both as a dancer and an artist. JBA offers a very personal atmosphere – it has a limited amount of participants and it is an encouraging and nurturing environment.”
Amber is open to whatever offer she will get career-wise; in the meantime she will have the chance to enjoy that which she loves to do – dance!
