Aislynn Loptson

Aislynn has Canadian/German nationality and was born in Vancouver, British Columbia.

She trained at small local dance studios from the age of three and moved to London when 15 to join the Royal Ballet School’s Upper School, where she trained for three years before graduating in July 2026.

Aislynn: “During the JBA audition, I felt an immediate connection to both the repertoire and the energy of the staff. I felt genuinely welcomed and sensed that they truly cared about my development while also wanting to challenge me as an artist. I came to see the program as transformative, fulfilling, and supportive which is why I am so excited to begin this new chapter of my journey. Now, I hope to gain confidence, expand my stage  experience and continue to strengthen my technique in both ballet and contemporary dance. I believe that having this balance of strong training, performance opportunities, and encouragement will allow me to reach my full potential.”

Aside from several European companies which she admires, Aislynn is especially drawn to The National Ballet of Canada because of its diverse repertoire and its commitment to performing works by some of her favorite choreographers, including Christopher Wheeldon, Crystal Pite, and David Dawson.

Romeo and Juliet by Kenneth McMillan is her best-loved ballet. His ability to tell powerful stories through movement and choreography, yet capture the tragedy and complexity of the narrative, is deeply inspiring!

In her free time Aislynn enjoys exploring the beauty of nature and after her dancing career she would love to become a midwife because of her love to take care of others. Is there something more meaningful and rewarding then supporting families through such an important, life-changing experience?
